Since then, Jennifer has acquired an extensive toolbox of training experience. She has spent years implementing not just one method, but various training disciplines and programs, including the Day School program developed by The Olde Towne School for Dogs in Alexandria, Virginia (that has a 35 year track record), and ongoing educational and certification courses. Because no two dogs or families are the same, this blending resulted in the creation of the official Mann's Best Friend method, programs and principles. Jennifer also regularly trains others to become professional dog trainers. Jennifer has trained in the Washington D.C. metro area spending time with Congressional and Military family dogs, as well as a certain Presidential pet. She has even trained a German Shepherd in Japanese.
In 2012, Jennifer rebranded and opened L.A. School for Dogs in Westlake Village, California where her Mann's Best Friend programs are implemented daily. The Proven 3-Week Program regularly generates groundbreaking results and lots of happy customers.
The approach is intuitive and customized for each and every pet. Their instincts will inspire you, while their compassion and love for the animals gives a profound sense of comfort. Jennifer and team will guide you through the ups and downs of your pet’s progress with skill and finesse, inspiration and hope.
Jennifer Mann is the founder and lead dog trainer at L.A. School for Dogs.
Known by her clients and friends as their 'doggie-guru' Jennifer Mann is a credentialed Certified Professional Dog Trainer. She has been working in dog and puppy training, obedience, socialization and behavior modification for 20 years. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Jennifer comes from a celebrity background. She is the daughter of Johnny Mann (of the Johnny Mann Singers) and Lori Nelson (1950's starlet of the big screen). As early as age two, and being uncomfortable with the attention Jennifer turned to horses and dogs. ‘I had to be so grown up at such a young age, it was a relief to be around the animals where we just understood each other without even having to talk' she says. 'Jennifer was always bringing home stray dogs' says her mother, 'and before you knew it, they would be doing circus tricks in the living room'. It was then she learned of her instinct for communicating with dogs.
